There are then two tests to qualify for a Full Driving Licence. The Theory Test must be passed before you can take the Practical Driving Test

The Theory Test is taken at a test centre. Part 1 includes multiple choice questions on a computer screen. Part 2 involves identifying driving hazards in a series of video clips. The test fee is £30.00.  Drive-how will help you to prepare for this test and advise when to apply.

The Practical Test is a drive - about 40 minutes - with an examiner. The fee for tests during the normal working day is £56.50. Evening and weekend tests may be available at £67.00

www.dsa.gov.uk lists official driving publications and gives information about booking your tests on-line.

www.transportoffice.gov.uk/crt/generalinfo/latestfees/drivingtestfees.htm will confirm current fees.
